Make a statement of light and beauty with this frosted menorah woven out of glass. Sparkling throughout are tiny squares of dichroic glass adding a hint of color and elegance to this magnificent piece. The candleholders follow the gentle wave of the glass and sit on top of a simple rectangular piece of glass. The shamash is a stately design of beautiful curved metal. This menorah is not meant just to be displayed during Hanukkah, but should be displayed all year round to bring elegance into any room.

Each piece by Sara Beames is cut and then fired in a kiln at 1,400F. At this temperature, the pieces of glass literally fuse, the edges round, and the surfaces take on a brilliant gloss. The art of fusing glass dates back 4,000 years to the Middle East.

Sara Beames has always loved working with her hands. While working on her BA in Art History, she was exposed to designing architectural stained glass, and since then, glass has been her love and her avocation.
