Joy Stember has been involved in art since the very young age of five, when she took her first art class. Encouraged by her father who was a successful jewelry designer, Joy’s talents were soon recognized as her work was selected for exhibit at various competitions and conferences. Joy immersed herself in learning her craft and received her Fine Arts degree from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art.
In 2006, a trip to Israel would change the course of Joy’s life and work. Joy visited Tzfat, Israel’s art capital, and Ein Hood, an artists community near Mt. Carmel and she was deeply moved by the experience. According to Joy, “After returning, I realized it was my life’s calling to make Judaica.” Read more about Joy Stember below.
