Roman Glass Judaica Jewelry by Jackie Cohen
Jackie Cohen has been designing jewelry since 1977. His love affair with the medium began in San Francisco in the early seventies, and led to his enrollment in the world renowned, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. Jackie spent eleven years in his studio and gallery in Old Jaffa until he moved to the United States with his family. For the last nineteen years he has been working and residing in Tarzana, California.
Jackie’s work features sterling silver combined with free form and natural stones such as fragments of ancient Roman Glass, Boulder Opals, Blue Opals, Amethyst, Osmenia Pearls, Blister Pearls, and various other semi-precious stones. His designs are distinct in their sculptural style, their flowing shape, and their organic finish. His use of both radiant and earthy colors combined with silver creates a dramatic and organic feeling.
